Canavas Pinewood
- This ancient aleppo pine forest can be found just a couple of kilometres away from Jimena.
- Its peculiar looks is due to its natural evolution -without man work- and the long lives of its trees, some of them between 100 and 300 years old.
- Twisted trunks and rounded tops are in high contrast with the typical shapes of young pinewoods.
- Declared Natural Monument in 2001, from its location we can enjoy lovely views of Sierra Magina Natural Park.

Very close to Jimena, in the heart of Sierra Magina Natural Park, it is located this peculiar aleppo pinewood declared Natural Monument in 2001 by Junta de Andalucia. Twisted trunks and rounded top are due to the long live trees - some of them between 100 and 300 years old- and ti the natural evolution, without man work. From this privileged location we can enjoy lovely views of Magina.
